Floats Swim Ring
Can staff at the local Swimming Pool turn me and my child away because I'm pregnant?
I went to take my little girl swimming this morning at our local swimming pool but I was told I couldn't go in the water and take my daughter with me because I'm pregnant. I'm 28 weeks pregnant and more than able to stand in the pool whilst my 18 month old daughter floats in her rubber ring and splashes the water. I managed the 2 mile walk to the pool fine. I've been swimming all through my pregnancy with my daughter though at a different pool - the pool is closed for maintenance at the moment which is why I went to the local one instead. Both pools have life guards and I only ever stay in the shallow end with my daughter which is a meter deep. It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. I tried to bring it up with the manager of the pool but the staff were just dismissing it, saying I was making a bigger deal out of the issue.
If you're leaking then i think they were right to kick you and your sprog out.
